Strays R Us

Thousands of homeless and abandoned animals each year find a new home through our shelter- could you help us?

Our mission is to decrease the amount of kittens born to stray, feral and abandoned

cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts, and to place the adoptable cats we find into permanent, loving homes.

Strays R Us is a non-profit 501c3, all volunteer animal rescue located in Rahway NJ. We are working to improve the lives of homeless cats

What does TNR mean?  Trap-Neuter-Return (controlling feral cats) TNR. TNR involves humanely trapping feral cats living in cities, towns and rural areas and transporting them to a veterinary clinic where they are spayed or neutered. They may also receive a health check, vaccinations, and can be treated for routine medical conditions.

Identifying sterilized feral cats. Ear Tipping is the universal sign of an altered feral cat. 1/4 inch is removed from the tip of the left ear in

a straight line cut.  Ear Tipping demonstrates to neighbors, animal control officers, and animal shelters that this cat has a home and

a caretaker.

Ultimately, keeping all of these animals out

of local shelters helps avoid unnecessary euthanasia in overcrowded animal facilities
